Everybody knows that nice weather asks for good music, a relaxing atmosphere, constant joy, and, of course, great company. Where can we find this perfect combination? At the summer festivals in June, of course!
Every year, the music festivals are more and more diversified, with endless possibilities. If you never miss out on a great festival, pay attention to our tips and don’t let the tickets for your favourite artists get away.
- NOS Primavera Sound – Oporto:
June arrived with another NOS Primavera Sound edition. With a great variety of music styles, from electronic to folk and soul, without forgetting rock, pop and indie, this festival has a selection of artists from several countries and with very different musical paths.
The 7th edition of this festival, characterised by its relaxing and almost idyllic setting – in harmony with nature – takes place from 7-9 June and the headliners are Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Lorde, ASAP Rocky and Tyler.
With a contagious energy, that leaves no one indifferent, including the 40 nationalities that are usual presence in this festival, the Parque da Cidade is the perfect stage for the three-day festival that promises, as always, to exceed the expectations of its festivalgoers.
- Rock in Rio – Lisbon:
The great festivals don’t only happen in Oporto. June is also Rock In Rio month! Taking place every two years, this Lisbon festival is a true reference in the music world and a compulsory stop for those who spend the year counting down the days for the summer festivals.
This 8th edition will take place on the 23, 24, 29 and 30 of June and is also highlighted for being a festival which is perfectly prepared to receive people with disabilities, pregnant women and children starting at age 3. As headliners, this festival counts with Muse, Bruno Mars, The Killers and Katy Perry, among many other artists that will provide memorable moments to thousands of fans of different music styles, present at the festival.
These were our choices for June. However, the next months will also bring lots of fun and good music. Don’t forget: between the hustle of the festivals, recharge your batteries and relax in one of our hotels. Learn more at: www.hfhotels.com.
